Thought I would buy the best way tablets because I thought they would be perfect with them being their make, how wrong was I. The Chlorine level is between 5 and 10 when should around 1 to 3. The alkalinity is 0 when should be between 80 and 120. The PH is 6.2 when should be between 7.2 to 7.8. Despite trying to dye my top to hide marks and even trying to buy another one the same I have been unlucky. SO BE AWARE WHAT YOU WEAR WHEN OPENING THE PACKAGE!! Especially the first time BEFORE you get to the earning INSIDE about bleach. GOOD luck

The dispenser is fine but the picture shows a tub of 50 test strips. What you actually get is a little silver foil pack of 10. The only reason I bought this was because of the test strips as we were running out. To save a load of money, I put 2 Jacuzzi size Chlorine tablets in this old toilet dispenser, and they last for weeks helping to keep the bowl clean. A tub of 50 tablets costs a fraction of the price for the normal cleaner tabs.VERY IMPORTANT: Don’t do this if you have pets or children. This was a perfect necessary item for our pool. After a few days, it clears a cloudy pool and kept the filtered water clear for a month or two.

Very good little device. Good value for money. Prompt delivery.Chlorine tablets on their own will not stop the water turning green. You need to use an algaecide as well. Test weekly the PH of your water by using a test strip. Once the PH is within the acceptable limits, add the recommended amount of algaecide for the volume of water in your pool.I use two chlorine tablets per week with the little ‘slot’ on the tablet holder set at ‘half open’. I dose the pool with the recommended amount of algaecide once per week. Before using the pool I close the ‘slot’ on the little tablet holder and open it halfway again when finished. My filter is left running 24/7. My pool is 13 ft diameter. A ‘once weekly’ check is all that is required to keep your pool water in good order. After about 3 months or so I empty around one third of the pool water and top up again and then test and correct the PH of the water and start the weekly cycle again. I have found by doing this the water stays clear and balanced. I have been using this method successfully for around 10 years now.

I brought these Chlorine tablets for my Canadian Spa. I normally use the liquid. But I ran out of it so I brought this instead. You need to put the tablet(s) in a floater otherwise they sink to the bottom. And is way to contrated. If you buy these for your Spa/ Hot Tub buy a floater just beware if you have young children these might not be suitable as children can always touch or play with the floater. I highly recommend you getting the Chlorine liquid. If you want to be sure your Spa/ Hot Tub is safe to use within a hour.

Very good little device. Good value for money. Prompt delivery.Chlorine tablets on their own will not stop the water turning green. You need to use an algaecide as well. Test weekly the PH of your water by using a test strip. Once the PH is within the acceptable limits, add the recommended amount of algaecide for the volume of water in your pool.I use two chlorine tablets per week with the little ‘slot’ on the tablet holder set at ‘half open’. I dose the pool with the recommended amount of algaecide once per week. Before using the pool I close the ‘slot’ on the little tablet holder and open it halfway again when finished. My filter is left running 24/7. My pool is 13 ft diameter. A ‘once weekly’ check is all that is required to keep your pool water in good order. After about 3 months or so I empty around one third of the pool water and top up again and then test and correct the PH of the water and start the weekly cycle again. I have found by doing this the water stays clear and balanced. I have been using this method successfully for around 10 years now.

At last, after years of trying many different tablets, granules and liquids, I have found a product which actually does clear the (green) water in my 12′ pool, and keeps it clear – and doesn’t leave any gunk at the bottom! I don’t use a pump, but just swirling the water round for a few minutes once or twice was enough.All of these things are (relatively) expensive, but the others I’ve tried have been a real waste of money and, in fact, these are lasting longer than they advise they will, so work out cheaper than most. I would highly recommend these tablets, and will not be wasting my money on anything else from now on.

I’ve tried a few tubs of these but I haven’t had any luck with them. They just don’t seem to have any effect on my chlorine levels (which are non-existent) despite filling the dispenser on my filter cartridge. I’ve had to drain the pool several times now due to poor water quality and this just didn’t happen with my previous brand of chlorine tablets. I am using this with a 12ft x 8ft hyrdropool, set at about 36deg in a very hard water area. Maybe one or all of these points is a factor in their performance.

Last year got our 10ft pool with whole load of chemicals. Increase ph, decrease ph, chlorine etc… Still went green. Added this to the pool this year and so much easier! Chlorine levels seem to stabilise and other than algacide once in a while we’ve not had any issues. Admittedly, did change filter once more than last year, but I’d say we’ve left it pretty much to its own devices and it’s been fine. Emptied last week (for winter) and still crystal clear! Last year and this pool left for a week and turned green last year, stayed clear this year.Definitely recommend and will get tablets again for next year.

But I’m not so fond of the new blue design.I don’t know why, but the blue seems to come off in non disolvable grit and either sits on the bottom of the spa making it feel sandy. Or some have got through the filter and have started blocking my inlet jet. So I have to regularly back flush the system.But otherwise they maintain a lovely clear and clean water easily.

The floater is great, nothing to say about that.The price is also very attractive for including the chlorine tablets, floater and testing strips.My only disappointment was the testing strips and instructions. I had high levels of pH and Alkalinity after testing the water and hey don’t tell you what to do in the instructions in that scenario.I had to do some research online as I’m very new to pool care and concluded that I had to buy more chemicals to reduce those levels. I got an Alkalinity and pH reducer online and it seems to have helped since. But it would have been nice to have more guidance in the instructions.The tests do not provide exact readings as well, but for the price I guess it’s ok.Still a good kit, which is why I gave it 4 stars.

Not as easy as I had hoped.I had got in the habit of adjusting chlorine granules according to the usage and could usually guess when I got out how much to add so that my hot tub was ready the next day again. I still checked the levels everyday but rarely had to alter much.These are supposed to do everything – chlorinate, clarify, stabilise and have an inbuilt pH plus. Just stick one tablet in a floater and away you go.And it keeps my hot tub levels OK. But its not a set and forget.I have the official bestway floater and even on the most closed aperture it tends to over clorinate and I have to take it out occasionally.I have also had two instances of the water going cloudy after about 2 weeks, requiring a refill, which makes me think the clarifying part isn’t great.Overall, I think I’ll stick to granules next time.

A few years ago i invested in the complete kit, which required a lot of effort to get the alkaline, chlorine, and bromine levels correct. Not as easy as I had hoped.I had got in the habit of adjusting chlorine granules according to the usage and could usually guess when I got out how much to add so that my hot tub was ready the next day again. I still checked the levels everyday but rarely had to alter much.These are supposed to do everything – chlorinate, clarify, stabilise and have an inbuilt pH plus. Just stick one tablet in a floater and away you go.And it keeps my hot tub levels OK. But its not a set and forget.I have the official bestway floater and even on the most closed aperture it tends to over clorinate and I have to take it out occasionally.I have also had two instances of the water going cloudy after about 2 weeks, requiring a refill, which makes me think the clarifying part isn’t great.Overall, I think I’ll stick to granules next time.

These are good tablets but be careful as I have a 3800L pool (10ft) and I used 3 which sent the chlorine level off the scale! Really one per day ince you have fully shocked and treated the pool is enough. It’s stabilised so will be better than the unstabilised chlorine initial shock dose at stopping the chlorine levels being burned off in the elements. Now I have the hang of it al I have bought large qtys of the powder form so I can save money as the tablets are expensive long term.

This is the first time that I have used pool chemicals and I must say that this device appears to work. I still had to add a healthy dose of chlorine granules (dissolved in a bucket 1st) to the pool after we came back from holiday as mosquito larvae were having a field day .. they didn’t last too long though. I received this product ahead of the scheduled delivery day which I was very happy about. However before purchasing these you should read the description and not rely on the photo as you will only be supplied 10 test strips not the 50 pictured. I contacted the seller about this but they failed to acknowledge that it was wrong to list this product with the wrong photo.I can’t yet comment on how well it works but my hope is it will maintain the chlorine levels in my hot tub better.The actual dispenser and tablets seem fine, I have set it up on a low setting and will monitor the water balance.I would rate this higher but I hate false advertisement.

I have been using these for the past couple of years in my hot tub. But I’m not so fond of the new blue design.I don’t know why, but the blue seems to come off in non disolvable grit and either sits on the bottom of the spa making it feel sandy. Or some have got through the filter and have started blocking my inlet jet. So I have to regularly back flush the system.But otherwise they maintain a lovely clear and clean water easily.

Will not use anything else now I have tried these, hot tub water is crystal clear and have only needed to add a little PH increaser once a week due to living a soft water area. Each tablet last approx. 5 days in my 1000L hot tub. Set dispenser to lowest setting and the chlorine level is maintained with no problems. As per a previous review and instructions on item, just ensure chlorine levels are correct before using otherwise you may need to wait awhile for the tablet to dissolve and chlorine level to rise.

These are good tablets but be careful as I have a 3800L pool (10ft) and I used 3 which sent the chlorine level off the scale! Really one per day ince you have fully shocked and treated the pool is enough. Its stabilised so will be better than the unstabilised chlorine initial shock dose at stopping the chlorine levels being burned off in the elements. Now I have the hang of it al I have bought large qtys of the powder form so I can save money as the tablets are expensive long term.

A few years ago i invested in the complete kit, which required a lot of effort to get the alkaline, chlorine, and bromine levels correct. These tabs work wonders, put inside a suitable container and change every 2-3 days. I’ve also invested in a net and PH strips. After three weeks the water looks and smells clean. Perfect !
