I was using a floating dispenser but all the tablets were taking a long time to dissolve > 2 weeks+.TOP TIP: I put one in the inlet shield of my inter filter and they dissolve in about 24 hours even in a cool pool.

This product did not get delivered on it’s estimated delivery date. But I assume that it was the postal services fault. I contacted the company and they were more than helpful when immediately sending a replacement. The product itself is exactly as advertised, a very simple, but effective device. The tablets are of great quality and come in a separate re-sealable bag (but the smell is still pretty strong). 1 tablet has kept my 10 ft swimming pool crystal clear for a week at the time of writing this. These are good tablets but be careful as I have a 3800L pool (10ft) and I used 3 which sent the chlorine level off the scale! Really one per day ince you have fully shocked and treated the pool is enough. Its stabilised so will be better than the unstabilised chlorine initial shock dose at stopping the chlorine levels being burned off in the elements. Now I have the hang of it al I have bought large qtys of the powder form so I can save money as the tablets are expensive long term.

This is the first time using this brand on my pool. We have a 12 foot. The other brand I used, I generally kept topped up to at least 3 in the dispenser and the test strips indicated perfect levels. This was more value for money when I had to buy more as I needed more strip tests too. After looking through numerous reviews I decided to try. The dispenser is the same as the one I already have, but this one seems to shut up better than my other one which is a plus already because the tablets when they come out bleach the bottom of the pool.It says to keep the dispenser topped up, Ive got 4 in, can fit more but I dont want too much in, checked levels everyday and they are in perfect range. This is being used with an DeepBlue pump too.No problems to date and working just as well as the others I was using!

It took about a week of being in the pool for us to see any type of result on the test strips which are themselves terrible, they don’t match up to the chart well at all.The dispenser itself does the job. There is a twist bottom to expand or reduce the dispenser size and it seemed to work OK in our pool. Clearly a cheaper dispenser but for the money I wasn’t expecting something top quality.Happy with purchase.

When the tub is opened the tablets are in a sealed plastic bag and there is a very overpowering chlorine smell so be very careful and make sure the room is ventilated where they are stored. It’s the first time I’ve used this brand and I don’t use them for a hot tub. I put a couple in the toilet bowl so the fact that they are large and dissolve slowly is good but I also usually use a different brand and they are “chlorine / detergent” tablets for hot tubs , paddling pools and washing , floors or in the washer . I couldn’t use these for my washing and floors. However for my toilet they will last a very long time.

I have a 12 foot easy set pool. In theory these tablets are a great idea, however they do not dissolve easily, if at all. I had a whole one left in the floating distributor practically untouched after 10 days. I wonder if they are specifically designed for hot tubs where there is warmer water and frequent agitation to help it dissolve?… In anycase, I switched to the same brand but granules – works a treat (I use warm water to dissolve the granules before adding to the pool).

Using these in a hot tub it has been some whilesince I last made a purchase havlng used bromine previously due to a previous economial large tub purchase. Ok, glad to be back with chlorine and this product was well packed, with a hard to open lid that would have deterred the most determinedchild and possibly most adults the lid was finally removed. No loose tablets here they were contained within a sealed bag inside the plastic tub. Now nI’m not sure if this was an additional level of security or just another measure to keep the product fresh but once the bag was open the strong pungent smell of chlorine was unavoidable. This product was so fresh it was unbelievable and when added to my hot tub in the measured amount the differenc was undeniable, once again the water smelt and felt fresh and a feeling of protection and germ killing was once more evidend. So much better than bromine, much more control able and the water appears brighter, with the particular freshnessof this seller I beleive this is possibly chlorine a its best. Fantastic fresh product, cation should be taken when using this product not to inhale fumes, keep in a dry environment and never handle this product without gloves outside and not in enclosed space. Treat this product as you would bleach or any othrer dangerous product and keep away from children.

Stupidly decided to put the 8ft pool up in the garden this year before remembering how much of a faff it is to put away again. Still, little’n loved it and i definitely made the most of it with the nice weather too. Decided to try and leave it out for a bit though and knew id need some chemicals to avoid draining and re-filling. Had no idea what i needed, or what was best, so a little online research led me to believe these were a quick win for my situation. Found this, seemed reasonably priced compared to others and reviews were ok. Arrived, popped it open, put a single tablet in and left it to float about whenever we werent using it. Pool was covered too to stop debris landing in it constantly as well.Im no expert but i think it worked a treat? Pool stayed lovely and clear, no gunk or slime build up anywhere and it smelled clean. A little chemically, like a swimming pool kinda scent, but reassuringly familiar as clean, if that makes sense. Took it out whenever we dived in, popped it back in after. I got over 3 weeks out of a single tablet which just slowly dissolved and did its thing. Testing strips were easy to use, take one out, dip it, wait for the colours to update and compare against chart. With the treatment in, my readings were always spot on so i assume it was working as intended. Despite being able to tell it had stuff in, we had no issues with burning eyes or anything like that ether. Plenty left for if we ever have more good weather too. Cant complain with this at all, simple, effective and saved me a tonne of hassle messing about with the pool. Would definitely recommend.It is advisable to remove all chemicals some 3-10 days in advance of draining though, i need to let mine drain predominantly in the garden and didnt want to kill any plants or wildlife, so after the weather turned, i took this out, left the pool covered for 4/5 days until it no longer smelled fresh and then drained. All my grass and surrounding plants are perfectly fine so seems no harm done.

After struggling to keep my hot tub chemicals in balance and needing to dose up with chlorine granules daily. At last I have found a product that works!I had two problems. Chlorine levels dropping to negligible in around 24hrs and very cloudy water. I was adding chlorine granules and liquid clarifier to my hot tub every day. Since using this my water has cleared up like fresh water and my chlorine is maintained. I put two tablets into my 930l hot tub and leave the dosing gap fully open. The tablets last about three days.

Omg I’ve never known anything like it!! I couldn’t get my usual product for my lazy spa st moritz so after reading all the positive reviews i thought I’d try this product. So i popped 2 tablets in my floating mushroom thing the next day me and my 8 year old son went in everything seemed fine. Then we put on the bubbles well…. we both started coughing badly then our eyes began to burn. I have been using these for the past couple of years in my hot tub. But I’m not so fond of the new blue design.I don’t know why, but the blue seems to come off in non disolvable grit and either sits on the bottom of the spa making it feel sandy. Or some have got through the filter and have started blocking my inlet jet. So I have to regularly back flush the system.But otherwise they maintain a lovely clear and clean water easily.

Bought these to use in an 8ft paddling pool. Started with one tablet in dispenser (being a little cautious not to put too much in) – after 1 week the water was a little cloudy and there were a couple of masses of mosquito larvae : / Refilled pool and put in 1.5 tablets, keeping it topped up to this level – 3 weeks later the pool is crystal clear and no sign of any larvae. Add 3 or 4 of these chlorine tab things to the outflow and your water should be all clean and clear within a day. Word of advice…dont smell them when you open the tub or breathe in near them unless you like coughing with a burning sensation up your nose! P.S. I told you…. you cant esist… dont smell them!

I had high levels of pH and Alkalinity after testing the water and hey don’t tell you what to do in the instructions in that scenario.I had to do some research online as I’m very new to pool care and concluded that I had to buy more chemicals to reduce those levels. I got an Alkalinity and pH reducer online and it seems to have helped since. But it would have been nice to have more guidance in the instructions.The tests do not provide exact readings as well, but for the price I guess it’s ok.Still a good kit, which is why I gave it 4 stars.

Not as easy as I had hoped.I had got in the habit of adjusting chlorine granules according to the usage and could usually guess when I got out how much to add so that my hot tub was ready the next day again. I still checked the levels everyday but rarely had to alter much.These are supposed to do everything – chlorinate, clarify, stabilise and have an inbuilt pH plus. Just stick one tablet in a floater and away you go.And it keeps my hot tub levels OK. But its not a set and forget.I have the official bestway floater and even on the most closed aperture it tends to over clorinate and I have to take it out occasionally.I have also had two instances of the water going cloudy after about 2 weeks, requiring a refill, which makes me think the clarifying part isn’t great.Overall, I think I’ll stick to granules next time.

What now?Well you had better make sure that the chemical levels are correct or you will either end up with instead of bottle blonde hair, green flowing locks or a terrible infection from under dosed water.And these little sticks will keep you on the straight and narrow. Simply dip in the water daily and compare to the colour chart on the side of the storage container. A few seconds later you know what the condition of your pool is.Unless it’s already green and full of gunk, in which case best you empty and clean it… Likewise if you get up in the morning and find the area surrounding your spa covered with dead small animals and birds, you’ve probably been a bit heavy on the chlorine. Best you avoid the area for a bit.Overall, simple, easy and idiot proof.

I thought that the chlorine tabs are easy to use in a paddling pool and very effective. I just pop a crushed one in to shock the initial water then add a full tablet in a mini floater to keep the level even. Before using this method paddling pools were a bit of a nightmare and becoming a slimy mess every few days. Not to mention the risks of bacterial growth and larvae infesting the waters. This will keep the children safe with due care and diligence.

This is a huge tub, I thought it was much smaller. Maybe because I was thinking doctor size tablets who knows, but it was a shock. Have not used yet, but will update review when its warmer.Update: put pool up today, can smell chlorine in the floater and water so I am guessing its doing its job. I don’t have a filter so I manually move the floater around at fast speed to mix it more. Have not tested with strips yet, added two tablets to a 8ft x 24 inches deep (splash pool) to give it a good dose, then I will use one tablet and see how it goes. Will update in one week!
