Not a fan. Bought these because the clearwater ones are expensive, but these are not particularly accurate. For pH and bromine, it is fine, but for chlorine levels it is showing presence of chlorine about 3-5ppm higher than it actually is.I am getting a positive reading in jist tap water (non chlorinated), whereas the clearwater ones show 0ppm according to their respective scales. I’ve been getting very high levels of chlorine according to these strips, which, when checked against other chlorine measures show lower amount in the hot tub.In my image, the top one is clearwater (total chlorine, pH and alkalinity) and the bottom is this product (bromine, chlorine, ph and akalanity). The chlorine is the same colour scale so directly comparable,bit different colours from the same water source!

I bought this for my 8 foot pool in the summer. I got 10 tablets, the dispenser and some test stripes. The dispenser is really easy to use and can be adjusted depending on how much chlorine is needed in the pool. I changed the tablets roughly every 8 to 10 days by which time they had dissolved. Tablets and dispenser worked really well and kept my pool clean all summer! My son used the pool all the time and said that he didn’t realise that there was chlorine in the pool which was good. Only downside is the test stripes. I used them once and didn’t like them so I threw them away.

What can I say about the tablets they come in a big plastic tub which will lats along time at the rate of one tablet a week. Hot tubs can be tricky getting the chemical balance, but these tablets make it super simple. I have a ‘floaty’ dispenser so these are perfect. I put 2 tablets in every 5 days or so and my water is crystal clear and always has that mild bleach smell, that smells clean. I dip test it every day and it seems to always keep in balance, so highly recommend using these. We as a family have had no skin irritations, like some other chemicals can cause.

I was getting a bit fed up sorting the chlorine everyday in the hot tubWell after a few days of trial and error, I now know I just need to have one hole half open, and one tablet in the dispenser, and this keeps my chlorine levels perfect.Now I only need to add a new tablet every 3 days, and it keeps the levels perfect, and this also makes it easier to keep the PH and Alkaline levels correct.Wish I’d bought this a few weeks ago, and saved myself the hassle. Oh well, live and learn.My only negative, and this is just being picky really, I’m not overly keen on the lid. Just need to double check it’s secure.But that’s it really. These tablets make keeping the levels in a lazy spa a breeze. Simply pop one in to a holder every few days and forget about the chlorine levels in your spa. It has an adjustable setting so you can adjust the amount of chlorine released depending on the size of the spa. I have the saint tropez and a setting of 2 bars seems to the keep the levels right in the middle of the ideal level and the tablets generally last 3 days with daily use of the spa.

Was recommend this from a friend and I like him was also really pleased with the purchase.When I upgraded from a small paddling pool to 10ft x 30 inch high pool I hadn’t really researched what I needed.This is a great little kit to help get you going, but I also ended up buying another kit for PH balance and Algaecide.The kit includes the Special Float to put the chlorine tablets in, 10 Chlorine Tablets and 10 Test Strips.I was putting 3 tablets in to start with and then went down to 2, this was with 2 slot holes open on the float.2 tablets were lasting about week before they dissolved completely and needed replacing.I’m really surprised with all the 1 star reviews saying tablets don’t dissolve.Maybe they’re not opening the slots at the bottom side of the float. It’s possible to have 0-4 holes open allowing you to adjust how quickly the tablets dissolve.I ended up with 2 different types of test strips and used both the first few times with the same results when testing the water.I now use just 1 every 4-5 days depending on how much the kids are using it.All packed up for the winter now in safe place away from the kids.

Did not work I didnt receive the blue tablets as pictured I received white ones so not sure if I got a bad batch. I put one on the pool with the floater before I went back on holiday. When I returned the pool was green and the tablet hadnt dissolved at all. I then threw two straight in the pool as I thought there may be a problem with the floater, 9 days later neither had dissolved at all. Had to drain the pool which takes 3 days. Thanks for nothing

We previously used chlorine granuals and the PH balancers etc which were tricky to use and measure out, and which took time to do too. We then swapped to using these and they are fantastic. You just pop one tablet into the dispenser, open the ‘door’ of the dispenser just a fraction and the rest is done. Sparkling water every time. One tablet lasts us 2-3 days. If I had a negative, it would be that it’s sometimes hard to get the chlorine balance just right – the door to our dispenser has to be open just right not to raise the levels too much. But that’s more of an issue with the dispenser rather than these tablets. I definitely recommend them for an easy life.

This is a huge tub, I thought it was much smaller. Maybe because I was thinking doctor size tablets who knows, but it was a shock. Have not used yet, but will update review when its warmer.Update: put pool up today, can smell chlorine in the floater and water so I am guessing its doing its job. I don’t have a filter so I manually move the floater around at fast speed to mix it more. Have not tested with strips yet, added two tablets to a 8ft x 24 inches deep (splash pool) to give it a good dose, then I will use one tablet and see how it goes. Will update in one week!

I’ve been trying to use Chlorine tablets in my lazy spa for sometime and i’ve decided to switch back to the granules after several weeks of no success with these. Why is this you may ask? Well if you asked a handful of people how much salt they like on their popcorn or how they like their steak cooked most people would have a different answer. You make it to order! Now imagine the same situation but you only had 1 product.. rare steak and heavy salted popcorn, it wouldn’t work and this is the issue with the chlorine tablets. Your trying to guess the demands of your lazy spa using a pre made product. With the chlorine granules you take a dip test and depending on the colour you know how many grams to add to the water. With the tablets while you can adjust the floating dispenser by opening the little flaps to limit how much chlorine is released; the time in which this takes is much greater then the granules and you don’t really know how much is being released, i.e a new tablet compared to a 3 day old tablet is different in size and the amount its releasing. If your not too fused about keeping your lazy spa on the nose then yeah shove one of these in every 3 or 4 days but if you want your lazy spa fine tuned get the granules.

I want to start the review with the positive, the seller was very prompt at returning messages and offered either a return or a 20% refund. I couldn’t have asked for more from them as they are not the manufacturer! The product is not very good though, I bought this as recommended by lay z spa but once we put the tablets into the provided chemical dispenser and left overnight we woke up to find it had bleached our brand new hot tub. Not happy at all! The chlorine levels were at a safe level so I have no idea how this has happened. I have read this has happened to a few people, I am going to try a floating dispenser to see if that works better. I’m trying to contact the manufacturer to complain but so far no response from them.

This is a very easy way of chlorinating your pool but you will need to Shock it every couple of weeks with another product as you can’t control how fast/slow the chlorine dissolves in your pool. I used to use granules but found them a bit toxic but I must admit I’ll be returning to granules as I could control the chlorine levels much better and never had cloudy water.

Useless item. Used my floater and after 2 days, nothing had dissolved. My test strips detected NO Chlorine whatsoever. Thr packaging smelt very very strong on arrival but I trusted the seller. I ended up putting one into the pool directly – what a stupid idea, it has bleached the bottom of my new pool. Seller has to agree to refund before you can send the item back – of course they ask you to “give it another go†which is pointless obviously. Avoid at all costs. I want my money back!!!

Seems to work on a very slow release method, as with the other reviewer the tablet is there the next morning, which brings me onto the big problem with this product. You get no instructions. Given you are dealing with Chlorine, most likely in a pool that kids will be playing in, having some sort of guide as to how much to use, what to expect etc would be nice. My guard was up immediately when the chlorine tablets arrived in a resealable plastic bag the likes of which you pick up in a supermarket. I would consider buying one of the more expensive models if im honest.

***update. These tablets made our pool so cloudy and it had white bits floating in the water. We drained the pool without realising these were the problem. We just refilled our pool and it was perfect until we started using these again! Same problem. Won’t buy again.***I have given this product 3 stars because in the last few days the pool water has gone from crystal clear and perfectly balanced to “sticky” and slightly less clear (I wouldn’t call it cloudy at all). This would indicate a high Ph but testing says it’s around 7.2-7.4 which is perfect. I’m stumped and can only put it down to the introduction of these tablets.

set the dispenser on level 2 (2 open gaps) and put a pill in, 12 hours later most of the pill still in the dispenser and water was chlorinated without being overbearing (couldn’t be bothered to test with supplied strips maybe do that once a week and adjust the settings appropriately, p.s. using a 10′ pool pump to circulate water, not the greatest construction but it does the job, ideal for low usage home use!

Started with these as recommended by Lay-Z-Spa, included in their starter kit etc. After a time of leaving them in the floating dispenser and getting numerous blocked filter error codes we switched to another brand of liquid chlorine. Even easier to administer, cheaper and no error codes. We take the filters out for a rinse, as recommended, no lumps of undisolved chlorine better still not getting blasted by the granules that settle in the air jet surround.

I purchased these for £39.82 for a 5KG tub which consists of 250 chlorine tablets.Lay-Z-Spa sell a 1KG tub for £19.99 which is only for 50 chlorine tablets, so for 250 tablets it would’ve cost me £99.95 but it only cost me £39.82 which works out at about £7.96 per 50 tablets. Absolute bargain if you ask me…These tablets are authentic and do a great job keeping my hot tub chemical levels correct. This tub will last me a very long time as I only tend to use 2 tablets per week.I don’t understand some reviews showing incorrect contents arriving and personally must say that this is not the case for me and that what arrived is what I ordered.I’m very satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend for hot tub users.

Great gadget for my pool. I am not sure how many litres my pool is but it is round and takes about an hour and a half to fill and when I am sat in it, it reaches my chest. I used this chlorine dispenser along with the strips to check that the level of chlorine was right and have found it has kept my pool clean for two weeks. I have decided to pour the water out after this time but the chlorine has kept it clean and the children have really enjoyed it.

Got this for my 8ft fast-set pool, it’s just the right size of dispenser for this size pool. It’s easy to adjust the dial of the dispenser to allow more/less of the chlorine tablet to be dissolved. One tablet lasts about a 10 days with the dial set to only one aperture. Didn’t think much of the test strips, they don’t come in the pot illustrated, they’re just in a little sachet. I didn’t use them (I got some DeepBlue ones instead that come in a proper pot).Overall this stuff has definitely kept the pool hygienic and has meant not having to empty and refill it – thus saving water as well!

Thought I would buy the best way tablets because I thought they would be perfect with them being their make, how wrong was I. The Chlorine level is between 5 and 10 when should around 1 to 3. The alkalinity is 0 when should be between 80 and 120. The PH is 6.2 when should be between 7.2 to 7.8. I previously bought some other make and they were better just did not dissolve fully.ni will not buy abestway tablets again

Stupidly decided to put the 8ft pool up in the garden this year before remembering how much of a faff it is to put away again. Still, littlen loved it and i definitely made the most of it with the nice weather too. Decided to try and leave it out for a bit though and knew id need some chemicals to avoid draining and refilling. Had no idea what i needed, or what was best, so a little online research led me to believe these were a quick win for my situation. Found this, seemed reasonably priced compared to others and reviews were ok. Arrived, popped it open, put a single tablet in and left it to float about whenever we werent using it. Pool was covered too to stop debris landing in it constantly as well.Im no expert but i think it worked a treat Pool stayed lovely and clear, no gunk or slime build up anywhere and it smelled clean. A little chemically, like a swimming pool kinda scent, but reassuringly familiar as clean, if that makes sense. Took it out whenever we dived in, popped it back in after. I got over 3 weeks out of a single tablet which just slowly dissolved and did its thing. Testing strips were easy to use, take one out, dip it, wait for the colours to update and compare against chart. With the treatment in, my readings were always spot on so i assume it was working as intended. Despite being able to tell it had stuff in, we had no issues with burning eyes or anything like that ether. Plenty left for if we ever have more good weather too. Cant complain with this at all, simple, effective and saved me a tonne of hassle messing about with the pool. Would definitely recommend.It is advisable to remove all chemicals some 310 days in advance of draining though, i need to let mine drain predominantly in the garden and didnt want to kill any plants or wildlife, so after the weather turned, i took this out, left the pool covered for 45 days until it no longer smelled fresh and then drained. All my grass and surrounding plants are perfectly fine so seems no harm done.

At last, after years of trying many different tablets, granules and liquids, I have found a product which actually does clear the green water in my 12 pool, and keeps it clear and doesnt leave any gunk at the bottom I dont use a pump, but just swirling the water round for a few minutes once or twice was enough.All of these things are relatively expensive, but the others Ive tried have been a real waste of money and, in fact, these are lasting longer than they advise they will, so work out cheaper than most. I would highly recommend these tablets, and will not be wasting my money on anything else from now on.

I have a LazySpa and find that one tablet is too much so I have to take it out after a couple of hours.The chemicals work and for that it is good but for the pain in having to be on hand and remember to take the dispenser out each time I would not recommend. I have now gone to grannuals as you can control the dose and provided you desolve them in some water before you add them they are much easier.

Bought to revive my hot tub after not using it for the past few weeks after running out of chlorine granules filter left running. These multi function tablets brought my hot tub water back to life after going slightly green and having a bit of a bad smell After leaving the tablets to get to work in the floater for a few days we enjoyed the hot tub once again and in minus temperatures I can see these tablets will last sometime and they are also much easier to use than granules as you pop a couple into the floater and leave it to work its magic rather than adding the chlorine once a day along with any other chemicals you need. I shall definitely consider purchasing these again when I run out of them.

Will not use anything else now I have tried these, hot tub water is crystal clear and have only needed to add a little PH increaser once a week due to living a soft water area. Each tablet last approx. 5 days in my 1000L hot tub. Set dispenser to lowest setting and the chlorine level is maintained with no problems. As per a previous review and instructions on item, just ensure chlorine levels are correct before using otherwise you may need to wait awhile for the tablet to dissolve and chlorine level to rise.
