    Everything works as you would expect, but there are no instructions for the tablets and although the test strips say a quantity of 50, I received (at best) 20 in my pack.The packaging could have been better for the plastic dispenser too – had been bashed about quite a lot, as there was no padding, and some cracks were visible but thankfully not anywhere that stops it working.

    This is a very easy way of chlorinating your pool but you will need to Shock it every couple of weeks with another product as you can’t control how fast/slow the chlorine dissolves in your pool. I used to use granules but found them a bit toxic but I must admit I’ll be returning to granules as I could control the chlorine levels much better and never had cloudy water.

    Do the job I bought them for, and they do it well. Just pop a couple in your floater and they dissolve over a few days. We’ve got a Lazyspa Miami and I tend to alternate between 2 tablets in the floater then next time 1, and it keeps everything at the right levels. We’ve not had to change the water in 6 weeks with pretty heavy use and all the levels are still spot on.

    Much simpler to use than separate chemicals which I couldn’t get to grips with. I put 1-2 tablets in the floating dispenser which lasts about 3 days depending on use of hot tub (used in Lay Z Spa Monaco). I found that I needed to also purchase the DeepBlue clarifier as the tablets contain algaecide which I think is what made the water a bit cloudy..poured clarifier in and now have sparkly Deep blue too!!! Fast delivery, highly recommend for a simple way to maintain a lay z spa, very happy with my purchase. Don’t get your nose too close when opening the pot as it is a very strong smell!!!!

    Got this for my 8ft fast-set pool, it’s just the right size of dispenser for this size pool. It’s easy to adjust the dial of the dispenser to allow more/less of the chlorine tablet to be dissolved. One tablet lasts about a 10 days with the dial set to only one aperture. Didn’t think much of the test strips, they don’t come in the pot illustrated, they’re just in a little sachet. I didn’t use them (I got some DeepBlue ones instead that come in a proper pot).Overall this stuff has definitely kept the pool hygienic and has meant not having to empty and refill it – thus saving water as well!

    This set is so much more convenient than using chlorine granules and even the powder, both of which I used to mix with hot water and throw in the pool, then I’d get a bit lazy and miss a couple of days and it would turn green.I didn’t think 10 tabs would be enough and that they’d dissolve really quickly but I’ve been using the 1st tablet for a few days now and it’s still a decent size, they’re also multifunctional, not just chlorine, so are doing a better job of keeping the pool clean with the aid of a filter.

    Only slight complaint is that the pH papers are not that effective/reliable, but if you put in a new tablet every week or so (or sooner if the water starts to discolour) then it’s not really critical to gauge pH strength anyway.

    should have been sold including the applicator as when it arrived I read the instructions and realised I did not have the correct equipment to use it, I ploughed on anyway ignoring the warning not to just through the tablets in the water, the tablets did not do the job adequately I purchased these as I thought they would be easier to store than the liquid chlorine, I then attempted to buy the applicator but was not available so bought the liquid chlorine instead…however was delighted with the ease of returning this item as dissatisfied and the no quibble refund to my card well done on that

    Very good little device. Good value for money. Prompt delivery.Chlorine tablets on their own will not stop the water turning green. You need to use an algaecide as well. Test weekly the PH of your water by using a test strip. Once the PH is within the acceptable limits, add the recommended amount of algaecide for the volume of water in your pool.I use two chlorine tablets per week with the little ‘slot’ on the tablet holder set at ‘half open’. I dose the pool with the recommended amount of algaecide once per week. Before using the pool I close the ‘slot’ on the little tablet holder and open it halfway again when finished. My filter is left running 24/7. My pool is 13 ft diameter. A ‘once weekly’ check is all that is required to keep your pool water in good order. After about 3 months or so I empty around one third of the pool water and top up again and then test and correct the PH of the water and start the weekly cycle again. I have found by doing this the water stays clear and balanced. I have been using this method successfully for around 10 years now.
