I was using 3 tablets in a floater with the branded product but with this I am using 8 (the most I can put in the floater) and it still does not register when using a PH stick. Use something else, these do not work

    I brought these Chlorine tablets for my Canadian Spa. I normally use the liquid. But I ran out of it so I brought this instead. You need to put the tablet(s) in a floater otherwise they sink to the bottom. And is way to contrated. If you buy these for your Spa/ Hot Tub buy a floater just beware if you have young children these might not be suitable as children can always touch or play with the floater. I highly recommend you getting the Chlorine liquid. If you want to be sure your Spa/ Hot Tub is safe to use within a hour.

I put 1-2 tablets in the floating dispenser which lasts about 3 days depending on use of hot tub (used in Lay Z Spa Monaco). I found that I needed to also purchase the DeepBlue clarifier as the tablets contain algaecide which I think is what made the water a bit cloudy..poured clarifier in and now have sparkly clear water too!!! Fast delivery, highly recommend for a simple way to maintain a lay z spa, very happy with my purchase. Don’t get your nose too close when opening the pot as it is a very strong smell!!!!

    After struggling to keep my hot tub chemicals in balance and needing to dose up with chlorine granules daily. At last I have found a product that works!I had two problems. Chlorine levels dropping to negligible in around 24hrs and very cloudy water. I was adding chlorine granules and liquid clarifier to my hot tub every day. Since using this my water has cleared up like fresh water and my chlorine is maintained. I put two tablets into my 930l hot tub and leave the dosing gap fully open. The tablets last about three days.

I contacted the company and they were more than helpful when immediately sending a replacement. The product itself is exactly as advertised, a very simple, but effective device. The tablets are of great quality and come in a separate re-sealable bag (but the smell is still pretty strong). 1 tablet has kept my 10 ft swimming pool crystal clear for a week at the time of writing this. Would greatly recommend.

    I have a 12 foot easy set pool. In theory these tablets are a great idea, however they do not dissolve easily, if at all. I had a whole one left in the floating distributor practically untouched after 10 days. I wonder if they are specifically designed for hot tubs where there is warmer water and frequent agitation to help it dissolve?… In anycase, I switched to the same brand but granules – works a treat (I use warm water to dissolve the granules before adding to the pool).

    They are rather large tablets so too big for my floater. I’ve used a small net washing bag with zip on and to hold it in place near to filter outlet. Tablet lasts for ages 4 to 6 weeks in 12ft pool. Water still clear even though filture pump has been off now for 2 weeks

    Chlorine tablets are essential for keeping pool water clear and hygienic. These chlorine tablets (10 in this pack) are placed in the plastic float and dissolve and release chlorine over about 7-10 days. Therefore the 10 tablets will last 70-100 days or so for a garden pool about 8-10 feet diameter. The float is easy to use, and although not the most robust piece of plastic, all it needs to do is float round the pool and so unlikely to encounter much stress to damage it. There are a few test strips included but these come in a foil container and once this is opened will deteriorate on exposure to air unless protected in a sealed container (not supplied). These are insufficient in number for the season and so a separate supply will need to be ordered. Reasonable at the price.Sept. 2017 update; Although I used these as instructed and the chlorine/pH was within the optimum my paddling pool still went green after 3 weeks or so. I was surprised and so revisited the small print. It actually says ‘reduces the amount of algaecide and flocculent needed’. Well I had to order some algaecide and fast dissolving chlorine tablets to ‘shock’ the pool. This resolved it and the pool cleared. So algaecide is needed with these – chlorine tablets alone are insufficient. The water was slightly cloudy but the pool vacuum and pump resolved this. The float is however good, lasted all summer, and required for the slow release chlorine tablets.

    After struggling to keep my hot tub chemicals in balance and needing to dose up with chlorine granules daily. At last I have found a product that works!I had two problems. Chlorine levels dropping to negligible in around 24hrs and very cloudy water. I was adding chlorine granules and liquid clarifier to my hot tub every day. Since using this my water has cleared up like fresh water and my chlorine is maintained. I put two tablets into my 930l hot tub and leave the dosing gap fully open. The tablets last about three days.

    I wouldn’t use any other product other than this for our hot tub, as it does exactly what it is supposed to do. We tried smaller tablets, which didn’t register on the testing strips at all. This product however chlorinates the pool and keeps us safe from harmful water bacteria.

    When the tub is opened the tablets are in a sealed plastic bag and there is a very overpowering chlorine smell so be very careful and make sure the room is ventilated where they are stored. It’s the first time I’ve used this brand and I don’t use them for a hot tub. I put a couple in the toilet bowl so the fact that they are large and dissolve slowly is good but I also usually use a different brand and they are “chlorine / detergent” tablets for hot tubs , paddling pools and washing , floors or in the washer . I couldn’t use these for my washing and floors. However for my toilet they will last a very long time.

It took about a week of being in the pool for us to see any type of result on the test strips which are themselves terrible, they don’t match up to the chart well at all.The dispenser itself does the job. There is a twist bottom to expand or reduce the dispenser size and it seemed to work OK in our pool. Clearly a cheaper dispenser but for the money I wasn’t expecting something top quality.Happy with purchase.

    These ‘multi-function’ tablets leave loads of residue and mess up the pump – I couldn’t work out why I kept getting loads of error codes and eventually drained and cleaned everything out. When I flushed the inlet and outlet loads of bits came out and there was a massive amount of residue in the bottom of the tub. This is not a product I will buy again.

    Really good product I have bought a second lot now as they have kept my 10ft steel frame pool clean and crystal clear for 10 weeks now with no problems. But do be careful as they are very strong! I had to empty half the pool out after 10 weeks as the smell of the gasses being admitted was very strong it was burning my nose. But that’s to be expected with the same water for an extended period of time. If used correctly then you wont have any problems.

    Just purchased a hot tub. Never had one before. The tablets were blue. Is this correct or should they be white. The tablets don’t dissolve. I’ve only used one at a time but the chlorine level is low. Should I be using more than 1 tablets. Only had the hot tub 1 week, used 4x. When the jets on there is lots of foam, don’t know why? I thought I just put one tablet in the dispenser and left but the chemical levels are not correct and I’m worried about the foaming. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

    I’ve tried a few tubs of these but I haven’t had any luck with them. They just don’t seem to have any effect on my chlorine levels (which are non-existent) despite filling the dispenser on my filter cartridge. I’ve had to drain the pool several times now due to poor water quality and this just didn’t happen with my previous brand of chlorine tablets. I am using this with a 12ft x 8ft hyrdropool, set at about 36deg in a very hard water area. Maybe one or all of these points is a factor in their performance.

    Does the job as far as sorting the water out, but leaves annoying bits (like crumbs) of chlorine on the bottom of the tub, makes the tub feel like there’s bits of grit on the bottom. Yuk!
