    They work great providing you use all of DeepBlue kit, ive noticed if you use different brands of chemicals the test strips are inaccurate. Now i just use DeepBlue chlorine with all the other chemicals being the same brand and they are spot on. Ive only noticed this because i was using cheaper chemicals and they were way off.

    These are by far the best test strips Ive used so far.The different colours give you a clear reading of chlorine, Ph and alkalinity.Some other strips the colours are not different enough or dont match what the colour chart says!These ones are excellent with a deep purple when Chlorine is too strong.Very easy to read!

    When I have bought these from a store they came in foil wrapped packages inside the plastic pot and gave very clear colour changes. These ones dont have the foil packages, all of the strips are loose in the pot although there is what looks like a pouch of desiccant in there too. The colours that develop when used are much more faded, ambiguous and seem to be washing out of the paper squares. I will go back to buying from the store.

    Neither my wife or I could ever read the ordinary test strips and match it to the color scale. With this system of strips and the device to measure and give display a number, the problem is resolved. In the beginning I measured the water at home and then took it to my Pool & Spa for their computerized readings. There was a slight difference (.895) on the pH and my recordings were low compared with theirs. For months now I simply divide my recordings by this factor and have no differences now. Prior to this system I was all over the board. As an aside, I’m a retired chemist and was upset with my yo-yo results. Now taking care of my hot tub is a snap.
