This is about as accurate as trying to line up a test strip on the side of the bottle and eyeball-guess the number. Not as accurate as using a liquid test kit, but much easier when used with the electronic tester.

I bought this as a refill so I could continue using the test meter. I find it accurate in that I have had no issues with our hot tub vis- -vis corrosion or unsafe water. I use chlorine in our tub so it is important that I regularly check the ‘Ph’ level, and total alkalinity, so the meter and the strips are an easy way of doing this.

These dip tests were very easy to use much easier than the chemical machine tester I had purchased which made no sense. I use it in a hot tub and it tells me if the levels need topping up using a colour scale. At first I was using a lot of them to get the measurements right as it was a new hot tub however with using them and adjusting levels regularly they have helped me come up with a good pattern to maintain the levels in the hot tub without too much hassle.
