Manufacturer’s Description: Deep Blue Pro 500g Spa Hardness Plus – If the calcium hardness of your spa water is below 100mg/l, it should be increased using Deep Blue Pro Hardness Plus.

Calcium Hardness: Calcium hardness, or total hardness, denotes the water’s hardness level. This value varies based on the water source, with differences observed in regions like Scotland and South Wales, where water can be very soft, and the South East, where it tends to be harder. The hardness is determined by the concentration of mineral salts, primarily calcium, dissolved in the water.

Problems Associated with Incorrect Calcium Hardness Levels: Low hardness can lead to corrosive water, surface etching, and foam, while high hardness may cause scale formation, filter calcification, cloudy water, and staining.

Ideal Ranges: Low calcium hardness should be less than 100mg/l, while high calcium hardness is considered to be above 200mg/l. If your spa water’s calcium hardness is below 100mg/l, Deep Blue Pro Hardness Plus is the recommended solution.
