I’ve been trying to use Chlorine tablets in my lazy spa for sometime and i’ve decided to switch back to the granules after several weeks of no success with these. Why is this you may ask? Well if you asked a handful of people how much salt they like on their popcorn or how they like their steak cooked most people would have a different answer. You make it to order! Now imagine the same situation but you only had 1 product.. rare steak and heavy salted popcorn, it wouldn’t work and this is the issue with the chlorine tablets. Your trying to guess the demands of your lazy spa using a pre made product. With the chlorine granules you take a dip test and depending on the colour you know how many grams to add to the water. With the tablets while you can adjust the floating dispenser by opening the little flaps to limit how much chlorine is released; the time in which this takes is much greater then the granules and you don’t really know how much is being released, i.e a new tablet compared to a 3 day old tablet is different in size and the amount its releasing. If your not too fused about keeping your lazy spa on the nose then yeah shove one of these in every 3 or 4 days but if you want your lazy spa fine tuned get the granules.

Great gadget for my pool. I am not sure how many litres my pool is but it is round and takes about an hour and a half to fill and when I am sat in it, it reaches my chest. I used this chlorine dispenser along with the strips to check that the level of chlorine was right and have found it has kept my pool clean for two weeks. I have decided to pour the water out after this time but the chlorine has kept it clean and the children have really enjoyed it.

The floater is great, nothing to say about that.The price is also very attractive for including the chlorine tablets, floater and testing strips.My only disappointment was the testing strips and instructions. I had high levels of pH and Alkalinity after testing the water and hey don’t tell you what to do in the instructions in that scenario.I had to do some research online as I’m very new to pool care and concluded that I had to buy more chemicals to reduce those levels. I got an Alkalinity and pH reducer online and it seems to have helped since. But it would have been nice to have more guidance in the instructions.The tests do not provide exact readings as well, but for the price I guess it’s ok.Still a good kit, which is why I gave it 4 stars.

I thought that the chlorine tabs are easy to use in a paddling pool and very effective. I just pop a crushed one in to shock the initial water then add a full tablet in a mini floater to keep the level even. Before using this method paddling pools were a bit of a nightmare and becoming a slimy mess every few days. Not to mention the risks of bacterial growth and larvae infesting the waters. This will keep the children safe with due care and diligence.

I believe this product is a fake, when comparing it against the clear water tablets I purchased at B&Q, the label looks faded and blurry, also when I opened the tub they were no where near as strong as the others I had, they were a different colour and much more dusty.The tablets themselves smelt more like a household bleach than chlorineI wouldnt recommend buying these!I would ensure you get them from the company or somewhere like B&Q

Using these in a hot tub it has been some whilesince I last made a purchase havlng used bromine previously due to a previous economial large tub purchase. Ok, glad to be back with chlorine and this product was well packed, with a hard to open lid that would have deterred the most determinedchild and possibly most adults the lid was finally removed. No loose tablets here they were contained within a sealed bag inside the plastic tub. Now nI’m not sure if this was an additional level of security or just another measure to keep the product fresh but once the bag was open the strong pungent smell of chlorine was unavoidable. This product was so fresh it was unbelievable and when added to my hot tub in the measured amount the differenc was undeniable, once again the water smelt and felt fresh and a feeling of protection and germ killing was once more evidend. So much better than bromine, much more control able and the water appears brighter, with the particular freshnessof this seller I beleive this is possibly chlorine a its best. Fantastic fresh product, cation should be taken when using this product not to inhale fumes, keep in a dry environment and never handle this product without gloves outside and not in enclosed space. Treat this product as you would bleach or any othrer dangerous product and keep away from children.

I’ve been trying to use Chlorine tablets in my lazy spa for sometime and i’ve decided to switch back to the granules after several weeks of no success with these. Why is this you may ask? Well if you asked a handful of people how much salt they like on their popcorn or how they like their steak cooked most people would have a different answer. You make it to order! Now imagine the same situation but you only had 1 product.. rare steak and heavy salted popcorn, it wouldn’t work and this is the issue with the chlorine tablets. Your trying to guess the demands of your lazy spa using a pre made product. With the chlorine granules you take a dip test and depending on the colour you know how many grams to add to the water. With the tablets while you can adjust the floating dispenser by opening the little flaps to limit how much chlorine is released; the time in which this takes is much greater then the granules and you don’t really know how much is being released, i.e a new tablet compared to a 3 day old tablet is different in size and the amount its releasing. If your not too fused about keeping your lazy spa on the nose then yeah shove one of these in every 3 or 4 days but if you want your lazy spa fine tuned get the granules.

I found that I needed to also purchase the DeepBlue clarifier as the tablets contain algaecide which I think is what made the water a bit cloudy..poured clarifier in and now have sparkly Deep blue too!!! Fast delivery, highly recommend for a simple way to maintain a lay z spa, very happy with my purchase. Don’t get your nose too close when opening the pot as it is a very strong smell!!!!

The indicator panel to tell you what colours you need to match seems to be printed off a cheap £30 epson printer and does not even match the colours on their own website! So no way to see what your results are if they worked.2. They dont work anyway. I dipped 3 strips across 3 days and even dipped one in vinegar (well below the ph!) and none of them changed colour at all – take a look at the photos. They all look the same and thts because the colour does not change whatsoever. You may as well dip any old bit of paper in there.3. This is the first time using this brand on my pool. We have a 12 foot. The other brand I used, I generally kept topped up to at least 3 in the dispenser and the test strips indicated perfect levels. This was more value for money when I had to buy more as I needed more strip tests too. After looking through numerous reviews I decided to try. The dispenser is the same as the one I already have, but this one seems to shut up better than my other one which is a plus already because the tablets when they come out bleach the bottom of the pool.It says to keep the dispenser topped up, I’ve got 4 in, can fit more but I don’t want too much in, checked levels everyday and they are in perfect range. This is being used with an intex pump too.No problems to date and working just as well as the others I was using!

Bought to revive my hot tub after not using it for the past few weeks after running out of chlorine granules (filter left running). These multi function tablets brought my hot tub water back to life after going slightly green and having a bit of a bad smell! After leaving the tablets to get to work in the floater for a few days we enjoyed the hot tub once again (and in minus temperatures)! I can see these tablets will last sometime and they are also much easier to use than granules as you pop a couple into the floater and leave it to work it’s magic rather than adding the chlorine once a day along with any other chemicals you need. I shall definitely consider purchasing these again when I run out of them.

This is a very easy way of chlorinating your pool but you will need to Shock it every couple of weeks with another product as you cant control how fast/slow the chlorine dissolves in your pool. Chlorine tablets are essential for keeping pool water clear and hygienic. These chlorine tablets (10 in this pack) are placed in the plastic float and dissolve and release chlorine over about 7-10 days. Therefore the 10 tablets will last 70-100 days or so for a garden pool about 8-10 feet diameter. The float is easy to use, and although not the most robust piece of plastic, all it needs to do is float round the pool and so unlikely to encounter much stress to damage it. There are a few test strips included but these come in a foil container and once this is opened will deteriorate on exposure to air unless protected in a sealed container (not supplied). These are insufficient in number for the season and so a separate supply will need to be ordered. Reasonable at the price.Sept. 2017 update; Although I used these as instructed and the chlorine/pH was within the optimum my paddling pool still went green after 3 weeks or so. I was surprised and so revisited the small print. It actually says ‘reduces the amount of algaecide and flocculent needed’. Well I had to order some algaecide and fast dissolving chlorine tablets to ‘shock’ the pool. This resolved it and the pool cleared. So algaecide is needed with these – chlorine tablets alone are insufficient. The water was slightly cloudy but the pool vacuum and pump resolved this. The float is however good, lasted all summer, and required for the slow release chlorine tablets.

Using these in a hot tub it has been some whilesince I last made a purchase havlng used bromine previously due to a previous economial large tub purchase. Ok, glad to be back with chlorine and this product was well packed, with a hard to open lid that would have deterred the most determinedchild and possibly most adults the lid was finally removed. No loose tablets here they were contained within a sealed bag inside the plastic tub. Now nI’m not sure if this was an additional level of security or just another measure to keep the product fresh but once the bag was open the strong pungent smell of chlorine was unavoidable. This product was so fresh it was unbelievable and when added to my hot tub in the measured amount the differenc was undeniable, once again the water smelt and felt fresh and a feeling of protection and germ killing was once more evidend. So much better than bromine, much more control able and the water appears brighter, with the particular freshnessof this seller I beleive this is possibly chlorine a its best. Fantastic fresh product, cation should be taken when using this product not to inhale fumes, keep in a dry environment and never handle this product without gloves outside and not in enclosed space. Treat this product as you would bleach or any othrer dangerous product and keep away from children.

Simply dip in the water daily and compare to the colour chart on the side of the storage container. A few seconds later you know what the condition of your pool is.Unless it’s already green and full of gunk, in which case best you empty and clean it… Likewise if you get up in the morning and find the area surrounding your spa covered with dead small animals and birds, you’ve probably been a bit heavy on the chlorine. Best you avoid the area for a bit.Overall, simple, easy and idiot proof.

I’ve been trying to use Chlorine tablets in my lazy spa for sometime and i’ve decided to switch back to the granules after several weeks of no success with these. Why is this you may ask? Well if you asked a handful of people how much salt they like on their popcorn or how they like their steak cooked most people would have a different answer. You make it to order! Now imagine the same situation but you only had 1 product.. rare steak and heavy salted popcorn, it wouldn’t work and this is the issue with the chlorine tablets. Your trying to guess the demands of your lazy spa using a pre made product. With the chlorine granules you take a dip test and depending on the colour you know how many grams to add to the water. With the tablets while you can adjust the floating dispenser by opening the little flaps to limit how much chlorine is released; the time in which this takes is much greater then the granules and you don’t really know how much is being released, i.e a new tablet compared to a 3 day old tablet is different in size and the amount its releasing. If your not too fused about keeping your lazy spa on the nose then yeah shove one of these in every 3 or 4 days but if you want your lazy spa fine tuned get the granules.

After some research I decided to put 2 tablets in my LayZSpa Miami ChemConnect dispenser today after draining and refilling it (800 litres) and within around 2hrs my spa was at the perfect chlorine strength using the dip test strips and is ready to use. May drop down to 1 tablet next time once these 2 have dissolved as it will have had its loading dose and see how that goes. But already far easier to use than mixing up the granulated chlorine and trying to get it right using that mixture. Must use a dispenser though, don’t add them just to the spa water directly!

I want to start the review with the positive, the seller was very prompt at returning messages and offered either a return or a 20% refund. I couldn’t have asked for more from them as they are not the manufacturer! The product is not very good though, I bought this as recommended by lay z spa but once we put the tablets into the provided chemical dispenser and left overnight we woke up to find it had bleached our brand new hot tub. Not happy at all! The chlorine levels were at a safe level so I have no idea how this has happened. I have read this has happened to a few people, I am going to try a floating dispenser to see if that works better. I’m trying to contact the manufacturer to complain but so far no response from them.

Be careful to keep tub well away from face when opening as the smell is horrendous unlike the granules that don’t offend the nose or lungs when opening tub. They also dissolved far too quickly and it was difficult to get the chlorine stable in my hot tub

My wife and her mum both suffer from a complex skin shedding problem due to a rare genetic problem and dietary binges. This makes the hot tub water become cloudy. I have tried many many chlorine tablets but to no effect and the tub water was really cloudy. Your tablets are simply the best. They have solved the problem of murky cloudy water. The water is so clear now that I can see everything including their varicose veins.
