    Great product but alters the PH levels alot so ensure you have DeepBlue PH plus to hand also. Each tablet dissolves in about 5 days but you can pop one in every 8 days or so. Quite strong for a 6 person lazyspa so I take the tablet out every couple of days to lettg the chlorine burn off…and this makes the tablet last longer too

I had high levels of pH and Alkalinity after testing the water and hey don’t tell you what to do in the instructions in that scenario.I had to do some research online as I’m very new to pool care and concluded that I had to buy more chemicals to reduce those levels. I got an Alkalinity and pH reducer online and it seems to have helped since. But it would have been nice to have more guidance in the instructions.The tests do not provide exact readings as well, but for the price I guess it’s ok.Still a good kit, which is why I gave it 4 stars.

    At last, after years of trying many different tablets, granules and liquids, I have found a product which actually does clear the (green) water in my 12′ pool, and keeps it clear – and doesn’t leave any gunk at the bottom! I don’t use a pump, but just swirling the water round for a few minutes once or twice was enough.All of these things are (relatively) expensive, but the others I’ve tried have been a real waste of money and, in fact, these are lasting longer than they advise they will, so work out cheaper than most. I would highly recommend these tablets, and will not be wasting my money on anything else from now on.

    Really good product I have bought a second lot now as they have kept my 10ft steel frame pool clean and crystal clear for 10 weeks now with no problems. But do be careful as they are very strong! I had to empty half the pool out after 10 weeks as the smell of the gasses being admitted was very strong it was burning my nose. But that’s to be expected with the same water for an extended period of time. If used correctly then you wont have any problems.

    Very good little device. Good value for money. Prompt delivery.Chlorine tablets on their own will not stop the water turning green. You need to use an algaecide as well. Test weekly the PH of your water by using a test strip. Once the PH is within the acceptable limits, add the recommended amount of algaecide for the volume of water in your pool.I use two chlorine tablets per week with the little ‘slot’ on the tablet holder set at ‘half open’. I dose the pool with the recommended amount of algaecide once per week. Before using the pool I close the ‘slot’ on the little tablet holder and open it halfway again when finished. My filter is left running 24/7. My pool is 13 ft diameter. A ‘once weekly’ check is all that is required to keep your pool water in good order. After about 3 months or so I empty around one third of the pool water and top up again and then test and correct the PH of the water and start the weekly cycle again. I have found by doing this the water stays clear and balanced. I have been using this method successfully for around 10 years now.

    I bought this for my 8 foot pool in the summer. I got 10 tablets, the dispenser and some test stripes. The dispenser is really easy to use and can be adjusted depending on how much chlorine is needed in the pool. I changed the tablets roughly every 8 to 10 days by which time they had dissolved. Tablets and dispenser worked really well and kept my pool clean all summer! My son used the pool all the time and said that he didnt realise that there was chlorine in the pool which was good. Only downside is the test stripes. I used them once and didnt like them so I threw them away.

    Chlorine tablets are essential for keeping pool water clear and hygienic. These chlorine tablets (10 in this pack) are placed in the plastic float and dissolve and release chlorine over about 7-10 days. Therefore the 10 tablets will last 70-100 days or so for a garden pool about 8-10 feet diameter. The float is easy to use, and although not the most robust piece of plastic, all it needs to do is float round the pool and so unlikely to encounter much stress to damage it. There are a few test strips included but these come in a foil container and once this is opened will deteriorate on exposure to air unless protected in a sealed container (not supplied). These are insufficient in number for the season and so a separate supply will need to be ordered. Reasonable at the price.Sept. 2017 update; Although I used these as instructed and the chlorine/pH was within the optimum my paddling pool still went green after 3 weeks or so. I was surprised and so revisited the small print. It actually says ‘reduces the amount of algaecide and flocculent needed’. Well I had to order some algaecide and fast dissolving chlorine tablets to ‘shock’ the pool. This resolved it and the pool cleared. So algaecide is needed with these – chlorine tablets alone are insufficient. The water was slightly cloudy but the pool vacuum and pump resolved this. The float is however good, lasted all summer, and required for the slow release chlorine tablets.

Bearing in mind that the majority of people who might purchase this are probably doing it for their children’s pool this is not exactly a very satisfactory state of affairs. This is now the third purchase I have made on here when tablets or powder has come in such a method. Think that it should be stated on the product page that this is the case and then you have a choice. Would imagine too that couriers wouldn’t be too impressed that they were delivering unlabelled chemicals!! SORT IT OUT here

    After struggling to keep my hot tub chemicals in balance and needing to dose up with chlorine granules daily. At last I have found a product that works!I had two problems. Chlorine levels dropping to negligible in around 24hrs and very cloudy water. I was adding chlorine granules and liquid clarifier to my hot tub every day. Since using this my water has cleared up like fresh water and my chlorine is maintained. I put two tablets into my 930l hot tub and leave the dosing gap fully open. The tablets last about three days.
