I thought that the chlorine tabs are easy to use in a paddling pool and very effective. I just pop a crushed one in to shock the initial water then add a full tablet in a mini floater to keep the level even. Before using this method paddling pools were a bit of a nightmare and becoming a slimy mess every few days. Not to mention the risks of bacterial growth and larvae infesting the waters. This will keep the children safe with due care and diligence.

Bought these to use in an 8ft paddling pool. Started with one tablet in dispenser (being a little cautious not to put too much in) – after 1 week the water was a little cloudy and there were a couple of masses of mosquito larvae : / Refilled pool and put in 1.5 tablets, keeping it topped up to this level – 3 weeks later the pool is crystal clear and no sign of any larvae. Everything works as you would expect, but there are no instructions for the tablets and although the test strips say a quantity of 50, I received (at best) 20 in my pack.The packaging could have been better for the plastic dispenser too – had been bashed about quite a lot, as there was no padding, and some cracks were visible but thankfully not anywhere that stops it working.

To save a load of money, I put 2 Jacuzzi size Chlorine tablets in this old toilet dispenser, and they last for weeks helping to keep the bowl clean. A tub of 50 tablets costs a fraction of the price for the normal cleaner tabs.VERY IMPORTANT: Don’t do this if you have pets or children. We put one of these in a floater in our 4-man inflateable spa (800 litres) and it keeps the chlorine levels well, maybe slightly high. After each refill we shock the water with 28? baby sterilising tabs then add one of these to maintain levels.Combined with some decent test strips, this has solved all the problems we initially had when we bought the spa.EDIT: I was about to re-order when I noticed the price has tripled sine my purchase. Now looking elsewhere, adjusted from 5 to 2 stars accordingly…

Got this for my 8ft fast-set pool, it’s just the right size of dispenser for this size pool. It’s easy to adjust the dial of the dispenser to allow more/less of the chlorine tablet to be dissolved. One tablet lasts about a 10 days with the dial set to only one aperture. Didn’t think much of the test strips, they don’t come in the pot illustrated, they’re just in a little sachet. I didn’t use them (I got some DeepBlue ones instead that come in a proper pot).Overall this stuff has definitely kept the pool hygienic and has meant not having to empty and refill it – thus saving water as well!

Will not use anything else now I have tried these, hot tub water is crystal clear and have only needed to add a little PH increaser once a week due to living a soft water area. Each tablet last approx. 5 days in my 1000L hot tub. Set dispenser to lowest setting and the chlorine level is maintained with no problems. As per a previous review and instructions on item, just ensure chlorine levels are correct before using otherwise you may need to wait awhile for the tablet to dissolve and chlorine level to rise.

The instructions weren’t great, because it isn’t clear how many tablets should go in at a time.. surely it depends on the amount of water in the pool? I didn’t want to put too much in in case the chlorine levels got too high so I used one tablet for a 10ft round pool and will replace it when fully dissolved, probably in a week or so. Great product otherwise tho!

I have a 10ft fast set pool, I made my own floating dispenser. I add 3 tablets at once when they have fully dissolved I repeat and so on. No green/slime etc water stays fresh and smells like a proper swim pool does. These tablets make keeping the levels in a lazy spa a breeze. Simply pop one in to a holder every few days and forget about the chlorine levels in your spa. It has an adjustable setting so you can adjust the amount of chlorine released depending on the size of the spa. I have the saint tropez and a setting of 2 bars seems to the keep the levels right in the middle of the ideal level and the tablets generally last 3 days with daily use of the spa.

These worked well when I worked out how to make them dissolve in the cold 22C of a uk I heated pool. I was using a floating dispenser but all the tablets were taking a long time to dissolve > 2 weeks+.TOP TIP: I put one in the inlet shield of my inter filter and they dissolve in about 24 hours even in a cool pool.

At last, after years of trying many different tablets, granules and liquids, I have found a product which actually does clear the (green) water in my 12′ pool, and keeps it clear – and doesn’t leave any gunk at the bottom! Was recommend this from a friend and I like him was also really pleased with the purchase.When I upgraded from a small paddling pool to 10ft x 30 inch high pool I hadn’t really researched what I needed.This is a great little kit to help get you going, but I also ended up buying another kit for PH balance and Algaecide.The kit includes the Special Float to put the chlorine tablets in, 10 Chlorine Tablets and 10 Test Strips.I was putting 3 tablets in to start with and then went down to 2, this was with 2 slot holes open on the float.2 tablets were lasting about week before they dissolved completely and needed replacing.I’m really surprised with all the 1 star reviews saying tablets don’t dissolve.Maybe they’re not opening the slots at the bottom side of the float. It’s possible to have 0-4 holes open allowing you to adjust how quickly the tablets dissolve.I ended up with 2 different types of test strips and used both the first few times with the same results when testing the water.I now use just 1 every 4-5 days depending on how much the kids are using it.All packed up for the winter now in safe place away from the kids.

Really good product I have bought a second lot now as they have kept my 10ft steel frame pool clean and crystal clear for 10 weeks now with no problems. But do be careful as they are very strong! I had to empty half the pool out after 10 weeks as the smell of the gasses being admitted was very strong it was burning my nose. But that’s to be expected with the same water for an extended period of time. If used correctly then you wont have any problems.

I usually buy a named brand, and being new to pool ownership I was reticent to change brand, however the other reviews of this product and the fact that i had used the same suppliers shock granules gave me the confidence to try these. Although these are probably 99.9% the same as the more expensive versions available I think these are slightly better (although that might just be the smugness talking as these saved me quite a lot of money). This product did not get delivered on it’s estimated delivery date. But I assume that it was the postal services fault. I contacted the company and they were more than helpful when immediately sending a replacement. The product itself is exactly as advertised, a very simple, but effective device. The tablets are of great quality and come in a separate re-sealable bag (but the smell is still pretty strong). 1 tablet has kept my 10 ft swimming pool crystal clear for a week at the time of writing this. Would greatly recommend.

instructions are non existent! My instructions came from reading the reviews. Stick a tablet in by unscrewing the top and wait for it to disintegrate slowly. Works, because the tablet gets smaller and pool smells great. Not used the pH things because I stuck my arm in to see if it was irritated by the water, it wasn’t.Has bleached the bottom of my pool though.But it works. No scummy water, smells good, bugs don’t seem to care though, they still went for a swim.

We have used these tabs but also have had to put other stuff in , tabs don’t seem to desolve it’s been in for 4 days now smaller but not gone.We put one tab in should we put more in?. Heater an pump permanently on. Had to put granules in an pH plus. Any idea what’s going wrong for us we carnt stabilise the water ,testing it every day .

I have a LazySpa and find that one tablet is too much so I have to take it out after a couple of hours.The chemicals work and for that it is good but for the pain in having to be on hand and remember to take the dispenser out each time I would not recommend. I have now gone to grannuals as you can control the dose and provided you desolve them in some water before you add them they are much easier.

Seems like they work really well so far but it has only been a couple of weeks. Using thrm in a 10ft pool. They do seem to last well in the dispenser though, so very happy….

When the tub is opened the tablets are in a sealed plastic bag and there is a very overpowering chlorine smell so be very careful and make sure the room is ventilated where they are stored. It’s the first time I’ve used this brand and I don’t use them for a hot tub. I put a couple in the toilet bowl so the fact that they are large and dissolve slowly is good but I also usually use a different brand and they are “chlorine / detergent” tablets for hot tubs , paddling pools and washing , floors or in the washer . I couldn’t use these for my washing and floors. However for my toilet they will last a very long time.

Tablets take a while to dissolve, as stated on instructions, but pool already smells faintly of chlorine ,and water is clear with no slimy feel to plastic pool interior. Have deliberately underdosed to start with as I don’t yet have test strips.

Great for a Lay Z Spa hot tub.So easy. I put two tablets in and the water is clear for days, clean the filter and add another two tablets after 4 or 5 days.The only warning….. the smell is soooooo strong!!! Definitely advise storing outside in a shed or garage!!!

DeepBlue pool chemicals work as they should do .. easy to follow instructions for each of the products .. just measure out the required amount pop it in your pool .. simple as that!

Warning….. Do not lean/bend over the container when opening….I have some difficulty with these security containers as my grip is not great so I do tend to lean forward and put my weight onto the lid……They do what they’re supposed to…….. I did find I had to boost my Spa when I started using the tablets by using 2 until the correct reading was achieved.
