    I think my pool must be a chemical soup by now; I have corrected the pH to below 7.5 then shocked it(numerous times) and after this added algaecide but still it is green. I have shocked it to the extent that the Chlorine reading is well over 3ppm.In the forty years I have had this pool it has done this a few times and my response was always to empty it and start again. What is happening here?

BOTH !!!The reason I say both is tablets are great for sticking in your bobber or floating device in your pool or hot tub … they slowly release the chloring so you can keep it sanitised for a week so you’re not checking it all the time. However sometimes if you have changed the water or something else has happened and you need to sort the chloring level immediately then granuels are an instant hit and fix and also a good way to get levels back immediately. These are the SMALL tablets … About the size of a 2p piece and about an inch thick.

    After ordering granules I was sent tablets. Contacted the company and was answered by an automated email, which was both annoying and frustrating. It wasn’t until I sent my third email that I got a response that contained information and was told that someone else had changed their order and so were given the last pack of granules and so I was sent tablets. I was told to crush the tablets and that would treat the water the same as the granules. I was also offered a price difference refund of £4 which I thought was reasonable, but when we tried to crush the tablets and use them, it didn’t work as advised and so I had to email again requesting either the granules or a refund and again got the automated system.I then received a message to say that a refund had been arranged through DeepBlueIf it wasn’t for the fact that I was on a tight time limit for the product, I probably wouldn’t have found it all so annoying, but I was, so i did!

    We couldn’t open the plastic pot as the childproof lid’s twist & click system didn’t work. To get into the pot we had to drill through both layers of the lid. BEWARE doing this as when the drill bit went through the lid, it spun lots of the granules all over the floor with a strong smell of chlorine. We then carefully decanted the granules into two screw top chlorine-product jars. We’ve bought this brand previously without problems. Is this a batch with faulty lids? The product batch number can be seen in the photo of the side of the pot.

    As per the headline, this product IS as advertised. I received this package almost a week ago and refilled my overground 10FT pool; I super-chlorinated the water as you’d normally do with fresh fills and I’m yet to top up the chlorine levels. In comparison to the other chlorine tablets product not related in any way to this manufacturer or product, I had to top up the chlorine *everyday*. In short, this product saves you money because it’s stabilised with Cyanuric acid and will last much longer. Worth £41+ for the 5L.

    The plastic bottle is kid proof, which is very important and it is great to see that the manufacturers have paid attention to this. Other than that it does seem to do the job. I have a self inflatable plastic pool and this work great for it.Please pay attention that this is chlorine and will stain your clothes if you come in contact with it for a prolonged time. Also pay attention to the temperature of the water, as it can’t be too low, if the water temperature is too low then you need to dissolve the granules first in warm water, (I use a one litre used plastic water bottle).

    Unsure how I can score such a product 4 or 5 so no have gone with 5. It’s a product I have used in the past and followed properly really does sort out the pop up pool for summer. Getting the chlorine ppm(parts per million ) dose correct also allows you to use Algacide preventer and other items to tinker with the oh balance of the pool to stop it going green. All in all its hard not to go wrong but do your reading before proceeding!!!

    Needed chlorine during lock down and normal supplier was closed, this product has done what it needed to do, however water appeared to go slightly cloudy and the chlorine didnt last as long as I expected so needed topping up fairly often even when not using it, even when water was cloudy the water levels were safe to use, the chlorine just appeared to wear off quicker than other brands I have used

If its “superior” as they say, then why not list it as such separately?I promptly had my order cancelled.

    After purchasing our first hot tub we needed to buy Cholrine to shock the water and also keep a daily maintenance dose. This larger pack is perfect for this job. Superb delivery too – quicker than expected.

    Firn not helpful at all. The picture shows the large container of chlorine granules and a container of tester strips. Beware, they only send a loose packet of 10. When I rang them there response was “Thats all we have in stock the small packets,if your not satisfied send it back” really good customer service………not.

    This supplier sent me tablets instead of granules and then when I told them they had sent the wrong thing they told me to grind the tablets up and they would be ok!! Seems like too much trouble and I am concerned because these are chemicals with warnings on and I don’t want to risk anything!! I am disappointed they didn’t just dispatch a replacement!! I replied to say not acceptable but i am still awaiting their response I won’t be using them again

    Good value for money chlorine. Purchased for our paddling pool, and does the job.Downside is it is very dusty so weigh it outside and it is quite hard to dissolve. We found using warm water and stirring with a wooden spoon works well but can still leave a few chunks.
